Well, we had some problems with the website. Main problem: capitalism and the corporate machine. Secondary problem: our lack of IT knowledge.

But we're mostly back on track now! Lost Youth Records is still fully operational. Here's an overview of what is going on.

Firstly, we released the Reproach "Despair/Shittown" tapes in November and they've been well-received. Hopefully you already own a copy of the limited tape run, otherwise they're still available through us (lostyouthrecords@gmail.com) or through our webstore (here!). The EP will also be released in Japan on Crew For Life Records (tomorrow!), in Europe on Awesome Vision records and Crapoulet Records, and in the US on Deep Six Records, soon!
Read what Out Of Step fanzine thinks!

Secondly, we will be re-releasing the last Apers album, "Confetti On The Floor", on nice limited yellow tapes at Crossbonefest. They're headlining the tenth edition of our festival on Friday, what better way to celebrate than to put out their opus magnum on a long-forgotten format?! The album is already a classic though, with songs such as Always Hate Work, Jamie Oliver and of course To The Bar For Cocktails.

Thirdly, as mentioned, the tenth edition of our annual party Crossbonefest is only ONE MONTH AWAY, 18 and 19 March. The website crossbonefest.lostyouthrecords.be is still under construction but should be launched VERY SOON, so you will be able to find all the info on there. Until then, a quick rundown:

The timetable will be announced soon!

Listen to almost all the bands on our PARTY HARD and PUNK HARD bandcamp compilations. The best way to get in the mood!

Check our facebook page for regular update and exciting (shareable!!) band pictures: SING ALONG!

Vlierboomstraat 35

FRIDAY: € 13
COMBI: € 25
Buy your tickets at our ticketshop HERE!!
We've sold half of the tickets already, so be quick!
Sold out = sold out, don't come off with "I know Jordi" he!

We'd like to thank Gemeente Houthalen-Helchteren, Bloodworks Tattoo & Piercing and Tattoo Frank The Butcher for sponsoring and all their support!

We have a great team already, but we can still use a couple volunteers to do a shift at the entrance, drink tickets or bars. Contact Karel Geuens at ikbenkarel@gmail.com if you're interested in helping out!

Besides the lovely Cowboy Mambo, who is gonna DJ the afterparty at one of the two days, there's a big show the Monday after hosted by Bearded Punk bookings:
21 March 2016: Kamikaze Girls, Coma Commander, Jon Creeden, Chris Snelgrove @ Antwerp Music City

Equal Idiots is super famous now. Muncie Girls will have their first full length out by then. Fuck Ups will release their new record at the festival. The Bat Bites will play their final Belgian show (not really a fun fact, actually). The Real Danger is not breaking up. The best Misfits cover band will perform: The Shitfits. Check out local Limburg acts as Steele Justice, Customized, Reproach and Lifespite. Sass Dragons and Weekend Dads will have new records out.

There you have most of the info. More will be announced in the next few weeks, for now, I suggest you get your tickets, listen to the bands, dance in your living room and drink Cara Pils forever. See you in a month!!

Lost Youth Records

We survived another edition of the great Summer In October festival in Nijlen Punk City. Everyone involved did a mega good job and we had a lovely time. Thanks PDS, This Shittown, De Kroenkel, Skintight, and everyone who made it a fun time!

We had the pleasure to announce the first bands that are playing Crossbonefest next year. Read all about it here!
Among the first confirmations are Belgian bands REPROACH, THE PRICEDUIFKES, TOXIC SHOCK, CHEAP DRUGS, EQUAL IDIOTS, COMA COMMANDER, MOUNTAINS TO MOVE, LOTUS, STEELE JUSTICE and BADGER. THE APERS come all the way from the Netherlands and Austria, while 7YEARSBADLUCK come only from Austria. From the UK CLEAN SHIRTS, HINDSIGHTS and SSSSNAKES are crossing the sea to party. The Canadians in WEEKEND DADS are coming down as well for our festival. From France we have NOT SCIENTISTS, VALLEY and SLICE OF LIFE. Italians bring the TEENAGE BUBBLEGUMS and Finland is represented by CUSTODY.

It's still a couple months away, but fear not! We have a party for you prepared in the meantime! We're releasing REPROACH's next EP, Despair/Shittown, on the 21st of November! On cassette tape! There's 4 songs on it! It's like 1 minute long in total!
Just kidding, it's about 4 minutes long. 😉 It's gonna be a limited press of 100 copies, some different colours and packagings, who knows. We plan to make this one special. It'll be our 15th release as well! All so exciting! Don't miss out on the incredible release show at De Witte Non in Hasselt (Bonnefantenstraat 26). Other bands playing are Toxic Shock, Cheap Drugs, Imaginary Dictionary, Sick State and Cease Fire! Oh dear. I hope De Witte Non has a good insurance.
RSVP here: www.facebook.com/events/119018205100823/

We're also working on the cassette release of the already-classic Apers album Confetti On The Floor. We are incredibly honoured and excited about this, because the Apers are the best band we know, They've been going for 20 years and still don't know when to quit.

I guess das was sup for now! Stay tuned!

Hello lovely people!

The weather is here, wish we were beautiful. We're busy as always, but this time we actually have something new to keep us off the streets and into business. Excited? Read on then!

First of all, congratulations to the Groezrock team for a wonderful edition this year. All of us at Lost Youth had some of the best times in a while, and we all saw incredible bands play at various times of day, various stages and various states of mind. Go figure, heh.

Meanwhile our releases are getting some love on- and offline. Read all about it here, here, hereherehere, and probably some other places. We're glad to hear people dig the new Sunpower "Last Rites" EP, The Dutch Rudders "On Verra" full length and the Top Bunk "Top Bunk" debut EP. We are truly excited.

As if that wasn't enough, we are organising another show! On July 18th, in De Witte Non in Hasselt, we will be hosting our good friends and one of our favourite current bands, Great Cynics! They'll be bringing along Sundials and Haters for a continental tour. You should definitely swing by. Write it down in your agenda, and rsvp on Facebook!

On a related note, we started working on the line-up for next year's Crossbonefest, for real. We're contacting bands as we type, so if you have any requests, shoot 'em our way. We can't promise anything, but if we like your suggestion, who knows what will happen!? It'll be our tenth anniversary so we're gonna put some damn effort in this one.

And finally, we've saved the biggest news for last. Hopefully you have read all the way through so you don't miss this, cause it is important that you know that we are releasing the new Underground Railroad To Candyland album on tape here in Europe! The album is called The People Are Home, contains 13 tracks and is roughly 30 minutes long. It will be available through us on a beautiful looking cassette tape with a download code! It is a co-release with Recess Records, and we couldn't be more excited to be a part of it.
The Underground Railroad To Candyland is a San Pedro, CA based punk/garage/fun band and one of the brain child's of songwriter Todd Congeliere. They've released two acclaimed full lengths, Knows Your Sins and Bird Roughs, and are a genuinely amusing and entertaining live band as well. Listen to Th Ppl R Hm here and check out the video for Yer Not The Only One here!

I know we're excited, but what are you?

Hey y'all folks and peeps!

This is a bit overdue, but THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who came to Crossbonefest, had fun and helped us create a weekend we won't forget for long - at least what we remember of it. THANKS to all volunteers, JH The Bassment, Houthalen-Helchteren for making it possible. THANKS to Marc, Chiel, Max and everyone else who took some photos or filmed some songs. THANKS to Bert and Pip for tattooing a bunch of people. THANKS to all the bands that played and were cool about everything.
OUR TENTH ANNIVERSARY EDITION! We're incredible excited and already thinking about how we can make it an amazing weekend for everyone. Expect cool local and international bands, old and new! We'll do our best to consider all of your remarks and fix any faults in the system.
We hope we can make next year go as smooth as a baby's butt and provide a fun and safe environment for everyone.

In all the chaos of organising we also managed to release three new releases:
LYR010: Sunpower "Last Rites" EP (yellow tape, hand-numbered /50 - 7" on Spastic Fantastic Records) - Listen to Another Rage!
LYR011: The Dutch Rudders "On Verra" (black tape, hand-numbered /50 - cd/lp on Monster Zero Records) - Listen to Oedipus live at their release show!
LYR012: Top Bunk "Top Bunk" tape (grey tape, hand-numbered /50 - co-release with Dyslexic Werewolf Recrods/Wiener Records - 7" on Bloated Kat Records/Dyslexic Werewolf Recrods/Round Dog Records) - Listen to Eating CF With The SG!

Pick them up at our webstore or at a show!

That's all for now, we'll let you know when something important happens!

We made it through January and February with a few scratches but we've finally arrived in March, or as we like to call it: Crossbonemonth!

January saw the release of our first cassette release by means of the re-issue of Vacation "Candy Waves". We had a great time at the Fuck Kanker benefiet with a lot of our favourite bands and of course we thrashed De Witte Non during our very first edition of the free and sold-out Thrash Out Fest! We're already working on a second edition this Fall, so keep your eyes peeled! It's all very exciting! More info soon.

In February we got our distro and the webstore going again, and we're excited to announce we'll be tabling at the following events:
08 March 2015: Gouvernement Issues - Reproach, Go Hards, DRS, Imaginary Dictionary and Anxiety Attack (Crossbonefesters!) - www.facebook.com/events/787270088006855
13 March 2015: Brakrock Indoor - Red City Radio, Pears, Harsh Realms (Crossbonefesters!), Silver & Gold (last show of our good friends - we never got around to releasing that record did we? haha!), Break Of Day and The Dutch Rudders (Crossbonefesters and Lost Youth recs!) - www.facebook.com/events/729077357187757
20-21 March 2015: Crossbonefest!
So come meet us at the merch stand at any of these dates, talk to us, check our stuff and buy our stuff! CD's, tapes, vinyl, posters, patches, zines, stickers, buttons, etc!
We also saw our friends in Cheap Drugs release their debut LP (out on Hardware/In Dogs We Trust) at an amazing party in Music City. Best of luck to them and congratulations with the record!

Now it's March and we're working our butts off to get Crossbonefest ready. We wanna make this a party no one will forget - while most of you will probably won't remember much! Buy your tickets here and don't miss out! Dopamines, Mean Jeans, Dean Dirg, Swain, The Apers, River Jumpers, Toxic Shock, ... you know you wanna be there. Speaking of Toxic Shock, have you seen their new music video? Monday is fucking cancelled!
We got three new releases for you in March, all to be available for the first time at Crossbonefest!
- Sunpower "Last Rites" EP (yellow tape, hand-numbered /50 - 7" on Spastic Fantastic Records)
- The Dutch Rudders "On Verra" (black tape, hand-numbered /50 - cd/lp on Monster Zero Records)

They're all coming up to rip your tape player apart. They all come with downloadcodes so they can also rip your computer, MP3-player or phones apart. However you like.

We've got some stuff in the pipeline but let's try and survive March first!

Thanks for the support

It's February so here's another update from the Lost Youth Records base.

First of all, we've made a webstore, so it should be easier for you to order our releases without any actual direct communication. You click a few buttons and we send you the stuff. So if you're scared of mail-ordering or scared to buy something from us in person, head over to:
You can also order our releases through our e-mail or in person (at shows, or if you know us just ask us).

Secondly, as you will have seen in our webstore, we have the VACATION "Candy Waves" cassette on sale! It's €5, comes on red tape limited to 50 copies, and includes two exclusive bonustracks. That's pretty gnarly.

Thirdly, we are currently working hard on our next releases, SUNPOWER "Last Rites" and THE DUTCH RUDDERS "On Verra". Both cassettes are expected to be available around, if not at, Crossbonefest 2015. The Dutch Rudders have an official release party March 28th, and here's the event: www.facebook.com/events/614079778721814

Fourthly, we got a couple more releases in the works, which will be revealed later. For those who liked House Boat at Crossbonefest 2014 (or just in general), we can tell you we're working on those guys' new band, TOP BUNK. Have a first listen here!

Fifthly (okay now I'm going to far)... buy your CROSSBONEFEST tickets. It's prone to sell out, so be sure to grab your tickets in pre-sale. It's cheaper as well! Here is where you wanna be:

Thanks for hearing us out and for the on-going support!

It's 2015 and we have just discovered the Internet! It was about time we updated the web-diddley-site again. We've been sort of busy so here's what's going on in and around Lost Youth Records.

- We put out The Windowsill/The New Rochelles split 7", together with our friends Swamp Cabbage Records from Florida (US). It's really good and it looks neat! You can listen to it here! And you can buy it from us by e-mailing lostyouthrecords@gmail.com, contacting Karel Geuens or by finding us at shows! It's only €5, that's pretty rad!
- We completed the line-up for Crossbonefest 2015 and boy, is it good! You can check all the details at the website and buy tickets here!
- We put Belgium's finest hardcore punk bands on one bill in a small metal bar. Thrash Out Fest is January 24th. Bands playing are Sunpower, Reproach, Toxic Shock, Cheap Drugs, DRS and White Jazz. Alles kapot.
- We're a 'mainly tapes' label now.
- We're releasing Vacation "Candy Waves" on cassette tape here in Europe! It will be available very soon, let's say, next week! It's a great noisy punk record from Cincinatti, Ohio, ready to rip your soul to shreds. The tape contains two exclusive bonustracks. It's available on limited red tape for €5, through the same purchasing methods as described above! Listen to it here!
- We're extremely excited to announce that we will be releasing the Sunpower "Last Rites" EP and The Dutch Rudders' upcoming debut full length, both on tape. Listen to Sunpower's new song Another Rage here! The Dutch Rudders don't have a preview yet, but we can tell you it's gonna be a rager.

So here's what you can do now:
- Buy our records.
- Buy your Crossbonefest tickets.
- Tell you friends.
- Listen to punk.
Thanks for the support and the interest, follow us on Facebook and Twitter and Tumblr and the likes.
